Stuff Happens.........
On Tuesday April 6th I will be hosting U.S. Senator Charles Schumer at my company business, Brakewell Steel Fabricators in Chester, NY
He will be here to hold a public press conference to address the issue of Chinese monetary policy and how it undermines the U.S. manufacturing sector, particularly US steel mills.
However, given that he is involved in Veterans Affairs, I have been told I will have the opportunity to briefly discuss Disc Golf with him, specifically how we can get Disc Golf onto many VA hospital campuses. I am attempting to get some local veterans that play Disc Golf at Warwick to come here during his visit to give him a demonstration and share their love of the game with him.

U.S. Senator Charles Schumer (D-NY) came to my business today to discuss how Chinese monetary manipulation has adversely
impacted US manufacturers like my company.
Of course I used the opportunity to share my Disc Golf passions with him. I had some local disc golfing Vietnam veterans with PTSD come here at the same time and practice some putting with him.
We collectively want to see how we can get more courses on VA campuses, starting with 2 here in the Hudson Valley of New York State. I shared the success and the joy that Iraqi veterans have had
with Disc Golf on the portable course I managed to arrange for a VA hospital in Coatesville, PA. Senator Schumer was very very interested in assisting us.
I also have a video of Senator Schumer throwing some putts at an Innova Discatcher. He threw very well for a first-timer.
I will be in contact with his staff tomorrow to see if we can start putting the wheels in motion to get courses at our local VA campuses. Then we can think about more across the U.S.
Senators LOVE good press, especially when it involves veterans.

On Page 2 of today's Middletown Times Herald is an awesome photo of Senator Charles Schumer putting at a disc golf basket. It's a great photo. He has really fine form and the photo shows the disc as it heads towards the basket, while Bill Broas, a Vietnam vet, watches.

| Dan...I saw the picture with Schumer and my Dad in the paper today...Great picture... I hope this project really takes off as it would be very beneficial to many vets |
