Letter from the Chairman ...

The Skylands Flying Disc Club is gaining momentum and has now established itself as a working organization. We are excited about its development and encourage Frisbee enthusiasts to join in on the fun. We are offering annual club memberships for $25, which entitles those joining special member benefits. Throughout the season, membership revenue will be used for matters based on the needs of the club and its members. Course maintenance, promotion of the sport and tournaments, and charitable events are examples of where our finances will be divided. Our governing body has been elected and includes a chairman, assistant-chairman, secretary and treasurer. The club has many aspirations this year and we are looking forward to a productive 2008 season.
Our goal as a club is to improve and strengthen the Disc Golf scene in the area and to promote Frisbee sports. We will host tournaments and clinics, offer weekly leagues, maintain and design courses, and help on all fronts in promoting Disc Golf in the community. Our club has monthly meetings that are open to the public and we encourage anyone with ideas to present them. The best way to find out information about the club and its' activities is to visit this website . A highlight of the season will be hosting our second National Tour event, the “Skylands Classic at Warwick” which will feature some of the top Disc Golf competitors in the world and will offer one of the richest purses in the country. We hope that everyone will make an effort to come out to the event and enjoy seeing some of the best disc golf this sport has to offer on the prestigious Warwick Town Park Course.

Lastly, it is important to recognize that the Skylands Flying Disc Club is made up of volunteers that have put in countless hours of time to create a better disc golf world. Please thank and respect them, for they are the foundation and life of this club and Disc Golf in this area. Sincerely,
Steve Brinster, Chairman
